Troubleshooting

Diagnose the common setup failures before opening an issue.

Docker networking

Inside Compose, use service names such as http://airflow:8080. Do not use localhost for another container.

connection:
  baseUrl: http://airflow:8080

Connection refused

Check that the target service is running, exposes the expected port, and is reachable from the DSUI container.

docker compose ps
docker compose logs dsui
docker compose logs airflow

If DSUI starts before the target is ready, add a healthcheck and depends_on condition to Compose.

Authentication failed

Confirm the base URL, username, and password outside DSUI first. For environment variables, make sure they are present in the DSUI process, not only in your shell.

Never paste credentials into an issue or a screenshot.

CORS and proxies

Your browser talks to DSUI. DSUI talks to the adapter target. A target service normally does not need CORS configured for DSUI.

When using a reverse proxy, forward requests to DSUI and preserve the Host header. Check browser developer tools for requests failing before they reach DSUI.

Logs and issue reports

For Docker, start with docker logs <dsui-container>. From a source checkout, copy the server terminal output.

When you open an issue, include the DSUI version or commit, adapter, target version, sanitized configuration, expected behavior, actual behavior, and relevant logs.
