Airflow

Inspect and operate an Apache Airflow deployment.

Setup

Add an Airflow service in DSUI, or declare one in dsui.yaml.

services:
  - id: airflow
    adapter: airflow
    name: Local Airflow
    connection:
      method: airflow
      baseUrl: http://airflow:8080
      username: ${AIRFLOW_USERNAME}
      password: ${AIRFLOW_PASSWORD}

Use the Compose service name when DSUI and Airflow run in the same Compose project. localhost points back to the DSUI container, not Airflow.

Airflow 3 uses method: airflow. Airflow 2.10 uses method: airflow-2 with the same credential fields.

Available

  • Browse DAGs, tasks, source, and task dependencies
  • Inspect DAG runs, task instances, and task logs
  • Trigger, pause, unpause, and terminate DAG runs
  • Retry or clear task instances
  • Browse assets, connections, variables, pools, users, and event logs

The adapter polls recent DAG runs every minute and emits typed airflow.dag-failed and airflow.dag-succeeded signals for terminal runs from the last three minutes. A repeated poll of the same run is deduplicated by its DAG and run IDs. A plugin can react by declaring a job with onSignals: ["airflow.dag-failed"].

Not yet available

  • DAG authoring and deployment
  • Scheduler configuration and plugin management
  • Full parity with the Airflow webserver

Use Airflow’s own UI for workflows outside this list.
